You Don'tJoin the Marines. You Become One.
For 250 years, ordinary Americans have transformed into extraordinary warriors. The question isn't whether you're ready. The question is whether you'll answer the call.
From Tun Tavern to the Ends of the Earth
Every Marine carries this legacy. Every battle adds to it. This is your heritage.
Birth of the Corps
Tun Tavern, Philadelphia
On November 10, 1775, the Second Continental Congress passes a resolution to raise two battalions of Marines. Captain Samuel Nicholas begins recruiting at Tun Tavern.
Honor. Courage. Commitment.
These aren't words on a recruiting poster. They're the three pillars that every Marine lives by. In combat, in training, and in daily life.
HONOR
Integritas
The bedrock of character. Marines are held to the highest ethical standards. We do the right thing, even when no one is watching. Honor guides every decision, every action, every word.
COURAGE
Fortitudo
The heart of battle and the spirit of daily life. Physical courage in combat. Moral courage to stand for what is right. Mental courage to face uncertainty without flinching.
COMMITMENT
Fidelitas
Unwavering dedication to Corps, Country, and fellow Marines. We finish what we start. We never leave a Marine behind. Semper Fidelis. Always Faithful.
Find Your Fight
Every Marine is a rifleman first. But your MOS defines how you'll fight and win for your country.
Infantry
The Tip of the Spear
Close with and destroy the enemy by fire and maneuver. Lead Marines in ground combat operations across any terrain, any climate, any threat.
Cyber Operations
Digital Warfare

Aviation
Death from Above
Pilot the most advanced aircraft on earth. F-35 Lightning II. MV-22 Osprey. AH-1Z Viper. Own the skies.
Intelligence
Knowledge is Power
